2023 AVETMISS Fee-for-Service Data Submission Reminder for RTOs

2023 AVETMISS Fee-for-Service Data Submission Reminder for RTOs

NCVER has sent a vital notice and final call for the 2023 AVETMISS Data Submission

This is an important reminder for all Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) submitting their 2023 AVETMISS fee-for-service data. Please note that the submission window will close on 29 February 2024 at 5pm ACDT. It's crucial to ensure that your data is validated and submitted correctly.

Submission Process and Validation

Many RTOs mistakenly believe their data submission is complete after validation. However, to officially submit your fee-for-service data to NCVER, you must go through the ‘Finalise Submission’ screen using the AVETMISS Validation Software (AVS). For detailed guidance, please refer to the section on 'Submitting data to NCVER'.

Nil Returns Requirement

If your RTO did not conduct any training activities during 2023, submitting a nil return is mandatory. All nil returns should be processed through AVS. For assistance on how to submit a nil return, please refer to our specific fact sheet.

No Exemptions or Extensions

NCVER does not provide exemptions or extensions for reporting AVETMISS data. RTOs requiring clarification on their data reporting obligations should contact their respective VET Regulator. Regular updates regarding data and nil return submissions are provided to VET Regulators by NCVER. Failure to comply with submission requirements may trigger follow-up actions.

AVETMISS Reporting Login

Note that Data Hub hasn't altered your login credentials for AVETMISS reporting. Continue using your existing login details at https://avs.ncver.edu.au/avs/ for reporting purposes.

Exempt RTO Reporting Requirements

For RTOs granted an exemption from the 2023 National VET Provider Collection by their VET Regulator under section 5 of the National VET Data Policy, remember that the deadline to submit aggregate competency commencement and completion data is 31 March 2024.

If you plan to submit complete AVETMISS data instead of an aggregate report, please confirm via return email to Client Support.

Our Client Support team is ready to assist with any challenges in validating or submitting your data. Due to the high volume of inquiries as deadlines approach, please reach out well before the reporting deadline. Responses to all inquiries are provided within 48 hours of receiving the order.
