01 / PRACTICAL STEP
Describe the learners and setting
Begin with the learners, their existing experience and the environment in which they will practise. Identify the industry terminology, workplace procedures and support needs that should inform examples and delivery arrangements.
02 / PRACTICAL STEP
Review examples and instructions
Review names, scenarios, equipment and workplace references. Make the material relevant to your setting while preserving the purpose of each task and the evidence it is designed to collect. Check that the revised instructions remain clear.
03 / PRACTICAL STEP
Trace changes through the kit
Use a change register to identify what was edited, why it changed and which documents are affected. Review linked learner instructions, assessor guidance and mapping together so an edit in one place does not create a contradiction elsewhere.
04 / PRACTICAL STEP
Prepare your people
Give trainers and assessors time to read the approved resource set and discuss the changes. Confirm facilities, equipment, workplace access and support arrangements before delivery begins.
05 / PRACTICAL STEP
Check before delivery
Gather feedback from trainers, assessors and learners during delivery. Use that information in your review and validation processes, then approve and communicate any further changes through the same version-control process.
